Our children and youth
need our help!

An important meeting is going to be held about the needs of many of our Annapolis children and youth.
There's no greater way to change a kid's life than by providing that "dad" or "mom" influence that's absent from many of their lives. It isn't easy. That we know. But the investment of our time and love can be life-changing--for the child, for you, and for our entire community. Just a couple of hours of your time each week can do just that!
We'll discuss how you can enroll in a mentoring program for boys and girls in our community.
We'll also be discussing summer and after-school programs where your volunteer time is greatly needed--programs that will help point our young people in the right direction.
So, please join Mayor Ellen Moyer, Pastor Cheryl Menendez, Coordinator for Human Services Tony Spencer, Aldermwoman Sheila Finlayson, Director of Recreation and Parks LeeAnn Plumer, and me on Wednesday, May 7th, at 6 p.m., as we introduce you to a mentoring program for Annapolis youth.
Through our involvement, a child can find success in life. If we do nothing--a life of drugs and crime for many is almost certain.
This challenging meeting will be held in City Council Chambers at 160 Duke of Gloucester Street. If you can't personally attend, please send a representative(s) from your congregation.
If you could give two or three hours a week to help change a child's life, please join us.
Please RSVP by Tuesday noon, April 29th, at info@aldermansam.com.
A special thanks to Calvary United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church for providing refreshments for this evening.
